NCC

NCC is an important training activity to inculcate leadership qualities among the students. The school has the distinction of having all the three wings of NCC Army, Navy, and Air Force for boys and Army for girls, which motivates the cadets to join the Armed Forces.

NCC cadets and School Band have participated many times in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi.

Maj Gen RS Mann interacts with NCC cadets at PPS

Maj Gen RS Mann VSM, ADG NCC PHHP, CHD Date Chandigarh paid a visit to The Punjab Public School, Nabha on August 17, 2019. He addressed the cadets of all the three wings of NCC and motivated them to join the armed forces. Chief Officer MS Chadha(Naval Wing), 1st Officer Shahid Ahmed(Air Wing), 3rd Officer Amandeep Singh (Army Wing boys), and Ms. Ishmeet Singh caretaker (Army Wing girls) were present. Dr. Jagpreet Singh (Headmaster) gave Maj Gen Mann a token of respect and gratitude.

22 cadets of NCC Naval Wing and Air Wing jointly observed WORLD POPULATION DAY by organizing an Awareness Cycle Rally.

NCC Air Wing Cadets Of PPS, Nabha, Celebrate Swachh Bharat Summer Internship

The cadets of NCC Air Wing from The Punjab Public School, Nabha, celebrated Swachhta Festival under the aegis of Swachh Bharat Summer Internship(SBSI) on July 10, 2019, as directed by 3 Pb Air Sqn NCC Patiala. The cadets launched a cleanliness drive in Village Nava Luvana which is adopted by the school. Dr. Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster, The Punjab Public School called upon the cadets to ensure hygiene all around. The cadets took a solemn pledge for the same. 2nd Officer Shahid Ahmed, in Incharge of, NCC Air Wing was also present.

PPS Nabha, NCC Cadets Spread Awareness On Air Pollution

NCC Air and Naval wing cadets of The Punjab Public School, Nabha organized a seminar on air pollution and took out a rally on July 9, 2019. Mr. Rajbinder Singh Panag, Head, Department of Geography enlightened the cadets on the adverse of air pollution. He said how humanity is playing with nature to fulfill its needs. It was followed by the cadets taking out a rally to spread awareness regarding the ill effects of air pollution. Chief Officer MS Chadha(Naval Wing), 2nd Officer Shahid Ahmed (Airwing) were present.

PPS observes ‘Nagrik Jagruk Pakhwada’

NCC (Air Wing) Cadets of The Punjab Public School, Nabha celebrated ‘Nagrik Jagruk Pakhwada’ on April 17, 2017. On this occasion, the cadets made the public aware of the importance of digital transactions. They told them the new mode was the right alternative after demonetization. They interacted with the local merchants and enlightened them about how it will eliminate corruption from the system. Dr. Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster, The Punjab Public School said it was vital the people switch over to the new model for the overall development and prosperity of the nation. It was high time the country went completely cashless, he said. II Officer Shahid Ahmed, in Incharge of, NCC Air Wing was present on the occasion.

PPS observes Swachhta Diwas

NCC (Air Wing) Cadets of The Punjab Public School, Nabha celebrated ‘Swachhta Divas as part of the Clean India Drive (Swachh Bharat Abhiyan) on April 18, 2017. The cadets cleared garbage lying on the way to Gurudwara Akalgarh Sahib. Dr. Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster, The Punjab Public School impressed the cadets with the need to maintain cleanliness. They took a solemn pledge to ensure clean surroundings. II Officer Shahid Ahmed, in Incharge of, NCC Air Wing was present on the occasion.

Swachh Bharat Drive (NCC Air Wing)

The cadets of the NCC Air Wing took part in a Cleanliness Drive at Railway Station Colony, Patiala as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) on August 7, 2016. Mr. Garry Everett, Deputy Headmaster, The Punjab Public School, Nabha, II Officer Shahid Ahmed, and Cpl Alok from 3 Punjab Air Sqn NCC Patiala were present on the occasion. The cadets collected garbage lying in the colony and also enlightened the people on the importance of hygiene.

PPS students attend Band Display and Weaponry Exhibition organized by the 14th Battalion- the Brigade of the Guards

58 students and 4 teachers-Mr Shahid Ahmed, Ms. Swarjot Kaur, Mr. Amandeep Singh, and Ms. Ishmeet Singh from The Punjab Public School, Nabha witnessed the Band Display and an exhibition of weaponry organized by the 14th Battalion-the Brigade of the Guards at Patiala on August 11, 2016. They also saw army bridges, signal support systems, mobile container operating theatre, and tanks. The high point of the visit was a ride in the tank both for teachers and students. In their interaction with the chief guest Lt Gen Ajay Singh, they discussed the hard lifestyle of soldiers. Yashasvi Garg and Nazneen Sandhu gave interviews for Zee TV at the conclusion of the function.
