Hindi Diwas

15 September 2023 @ 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

‘A nation is dumb without the national language,’ said the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
Hindi Diwas is observed across India on September 14 every year. On this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly declared Hindi (in Devnagri script) as the official language of the Republic of India. Hindi is the fourth most spoken language in the world.
Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri said, ‘It is our duty to study and teach Hindi. We have to adopt it.’ On this occasion, Sohana Ahmed, Akshat Sharma, Vani and Iniya threw light on the importance of Hindi through their poems and speeches.
On this occasion, the students at PPS gave speeches and recited poems.
Headmaster Dr DC Sharma conveyed his heartfelt greetings to everyone on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. He emphasised the need to retain the purity of Hindi language and speak it as it should be. He said we should encourage students to take part in poetical recitation, storytelling and debates from time to time.
