Beas House Show

15 May 2022 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Beas House organised the cultural evening on May 15, 2022. It was dedicated exclusively to celebrate the International Day of Families. Welcome Song “My child arrived just the other day” by Harry Chapin set the tone for the evening. The English Play “The Angel Intrudes” by Floyd Dell depicted an angel falling in love with an earthling and vanishing with her depriving Jimmy Pendleton of the love of his life. The Western Dance set the stage on fire. The mime bordered on restoring the family life to it pre-pandemic mode. It focused on mobile addiction which is the bane of the present generation. The folk dance was a fine fusion of Naga tribal, Bengali and Garwali culture. A solo song “Tujh se naraz nahi zindagi” by Parikalpana was the high point of the show. Giddha was quite innovative given the girls sang boliyans in real time. The stand-up comedy by Avreen brought out the quandary of a girl who is trying her level best to make sense of the education system. Finally, the vibrant Bhangra brought the curtain down on a high-voltage performance by Beasians.
Speaking on the occasion, Headmaster Mr Ajay Singh expressed his gratitude to parents for turning up in huge numbers to see their wards perform on the stage. He was appreciative of the efforts put in by the house staff to make the show a grand success. Deputy Headmaster Dr Gurvinder Kaur, Head Junior Wing Ms Ruby Verma and the staff were present.
