57TH FOUNDERS’ DAY CELEBRATIONS – VARIETY ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME AND PRIZE DISTRIBUTION

The celebrations for the 57th Founders’ Day of The Punjab Public School, Nabha got underway on October 27, 2016. A Variety Entertainment Programme was organised in the Pavate Hall at 06.00 pm. The event was presided over by Dr Satish Jain, Director, Indian Epilepsy Centre, President, Indian Epilepsy Association and Advisor, Department of Health Care, Human Services and Family Welfare, Govt of Sikkim. The programme started with Orchestra which presented a melange of musical notes. It was followed by a group song. A blindfolded dance was the cynosure of all eyes. A presentation by the Cinematography Club to take Dr Jain down the memory lane was indeed enlightening. It included kind words said by his teachers Mr KC Tandon and Ms Tandon and his friend Mr A Minhas. An English Play Pied Piper of Hamelin by Robert Browning enthralled everyone present. A traditional German dance and Ghumar electrified audience. Finally, Dr Jain gave away prizes to students for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Headmaster’s Award for Excellence in Teaching went to Ms Tanuja Singh and Mr Abhishek Kumar Singh for Computer Applications and Mr Omkar Singh Thakur for Physical Education. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Satish Jain eulogised the role of his teachers in his life. He paid glowing tribute to his father who wanted him to get better education. Dr Jagpreet Singh thanked the distinguished guests for their benign presence. He expressed his gratitude to the Old Students of 1990 Batch who played a pivotal role in the construction of Volleyball Court in Sham Bagh.
