PPS Nabha was fortunate to have been given the opportunity to host First ever Community Meeting of Cambridge Upper North Community. It was very well attended by 22 Schools by their heads and coordinators...! A big thank you to all who attended and specially to our mentor of the community,Mr Pramod Pillai...!
    It was the Final day of the Inter-House Equestrian meet and the Chief Guest was Mr Pramod Pillai , Principal Harvest International School who was totally charmed and glamourised by the riding skills of the girls and boys..! He complimented them and encouraged them in his address. The Headmaster Dr Jagpreet Singh presented him with the token of remembrance..!
      The children continued to show their riding skills on the 2nd day of inter house equestrian meet ... they had show- jumping , tent pegging today to showcase their talent ...! Truly a daredevil exhibition of the young riders...!

           All the young riders with a lot of enthusiasm took part in Inter- House Equestrian Competition. This will go on for three days...! Some glimpses of children performing....!
            The cadets of 4PB GIRLS BN NCC ,Patiala from The Punjab Public School ,Nabha undertook an activity of FOOT POLICING on 'BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO'  where the girl cadets took the initiative to bring the awareness in the society regarding the importance of educating a girls child. They also undertook a cleanliness drive on the roads of Nabha to spread the message of “SWACHH BHARAT” to the society.
              Microsoft workshop for The Punjab Public School, Nabha Staff...! The staff enjoyed the workshop. Deputy Headmaster Dr Alfred presented mementos..! Great learning experience for all..!

                Enthusiastic young Nabhaites participated in Junior School English Poetry Competition...! A real treat it was to hear them recite..! Kudos..!
                  Diamond Jubilee Tree plantation was organized on August 25, 2019 in the benign presence of Headmaster, Dr Jagpreet Singh. Girls and boys of class XI and XII enthusiastically took part in the activity.  
                    For the first time PPS Staff and Students played a handball match on Janamasthami Eve ..! It was to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of the School . This introduces now handball as an official game in PPS. The students won the match with score 11-7 . It was followed by the yummy dinner..!
                      A special assembly was conducted to celebrate Krishna Janmashtami. Students dwelled on the significance of Krishna’s life. School Choir mesmerised the audience with melodious bhajans. Headmaster Dr Singh elaborated on the teachings and gestures of Lord Krishna and urged the students to spread happiness and positivity.
                        ONA , Nabha Chapter on the occasion of Diamond Jubilee Celebrations felicitated all the high achievers of the school .Gen Tiwari the First batch student passing from the school motivated the students, Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster thanked the Alumni gathered in the Pavate Auditorium for this awesome gesture...! It was followed by High Tea for everyone...!
                          The day started with finals of Spell Bee Competition and Debate Finals. Mr Gurinder Singh, IPS (Retd) graced the Closing Ceremony as Chief Guest for the occasion. PPS Nabha lifted the overall trophy for Diamond Jubilee Shri JK Kate Knowledge Conclave-2019. In his address to the gathering, Mr Gurinder Singh relived his fond memories and highlighted the importance of literary activities in a student’s life. Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster presented a token of deeply felt love and gratitude to the Chief Guest. He thanked all the visiting teams and dignitaries for being a part of the Knowledge Conclave. 
                            The second day of ongoing Conclave witnessed Book Review. Ms Himanjali Sankar, author of the book “The Lies We Tell” moderated the session. Mr Aseem Chhabra, Festival Director, New York Indian Film Festival, Mr Neeraj Kumar, IPS (Retd), and many more attended the Knowledge Conclave.
                            In JK Kate Quiz out of 16 teams six teams through written quiz qualified for the Finals
                            Mayo College Girls , Ajmer , YPS Mohali, Pinegrove School , Dharampur , The Maan School , Delhi , Welham Girls , Dehradun and PPS, Nabha
                            PPS, Nabha won the quiz and YPS , Mohali was the Runner-Up
                            PPS Nabha being the host was not competing for the trophy hence they passed the trophy to YPS, Mohali

                              Day 2 started with the Semi Finals of Debate. Brig Sumit Mehta, VSM Station Commander, 1 Armoured Nabha graced the morning celebration as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Mrs Mehta. Judges had a tough time awarding marks to the participants who designed the wall on theme ‘With Plastic and Without Water: India after 5 years. Post lunch witnessed the Prelims of Spell Bee Competition. 
                                Day 1 witnessed the Opening Ceremony of prestigious Knowledge Conclave. Chief Guest for the day Vice Admiral J S Bedi, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM kicked off the three day long Conclave. Mr Neeraj Kumar, IPS (Retd) was the Guest of Honour. 16 teams are participating in the Conclave. Opening Ceremony witnessed the Story Telling Competition. Followed by it was the Wall Magazine. Post lunch witnessed the prelims of Quiz and Creative Writing. The evening came to an end with Prelims of Debate. Inaugural Movie Review Competition was moderated by Mr Aseem Chhabra, Festival Director New York Indian Film Festival. Various authors, writers are attending the Conclave.

                                    Maj Gen RS Mann VSM, ADG NCC PHHP, CHD Dte Chandigarh paid a visit to The Punjab Public School, Nabha on August 17, 2019. He addressed the cadets of all the three wings of NCC and motivated them to join the armed forces. Chief Officer MS Chadha(Naval Wing), 1st Officer Shahid Ahmed(Air Wing), 3rd Officer Amandeep Singh (Army Wing boys) and Ms Ishmeet Singh care taker (Army Wing girls) were present. Dr Jagpreet Singh (Headmaster) gave Maj Gen Mann a token of respect and gratitude.
                                      The Punjab Public School, Nabha celebrated Nation’s 73rd Independence Day this morning. 
                                      Chief Guest for the occasion , Col, HS Brar, CO 14 Btn NCC, Nabha , inspected the guard of honour. Followed by it were the speeches of students highlighting Nation’s struggle and heroic sacrifices of great people. 
                                      School Choir also presented patriotic songs. 
                                      Col Brar made an excellent address to the young students.
                                      Headmaster, Dr Jagpreet Singh thanked the Chief Guest and presented him a token of gratitude. 
                                      The celebration concluded with National Anthem.
                                        Philately is a very popular hobby in PPS , Nabha . The postal Department to make children more aware conducted a talk on the importance of studying and collecting postal stamps and postal stationery. Ms Aarti Verma , IPS , SSPO, Patiala kept the young Nabhaites engaged in her talk. Along with her was the World Record Holder Mr Narinderpal Singh who has the largest collection of Stamps in the world.
