Man Gen TPS Waraich VSM*, Director , YPS Mohali graced the Closing Ceremony of 56th All India IPSC Athletic Meet at PPS, Nabha . The School Band put up a spectacular show. Chief Guest gave a standing ovation to both Brass and Pipe Band. Trophy for March Past was shared between Welham Boys and Lawrence School, Lovedale. Trophy for 56th All India IPSC Athletic Meet (Boys) was bagged by MNSS, Rai with PPS being Runner - up and (Girls) was also bagged by MNSS, Rai. Chief Guest in his address complimented the new entrants for participating. He extended his congratulations to the winners. Sending a powerful message of never to lose the love for sports, Chief Guest declared the Meet closed. 
Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster presented a token of deeply felt love and gratitude to the Chief Guest. Head Boy , Amarbir Singh proposed vote of thanks.
     Spirit remained high throughout the day as the athletes toiled hard in various events on Day 2
    Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster and Dr Rakesh Alfred gave away the medals to winners. Their presence encouraged the budding athletes.
      Dr Sumer Singh, an eminent educationist presided over the Opening Ceremony of IPSC Athletics at PPS, Nabha. With more than 30  teams  of Boys and Girls from India and nearly 600 athletes participating in 3 day long Championship, it is set to be the largest event in IPSC. The ceremony started with the March Past. The School Band put up a spectacular show. Dr Sumer Singh, in his address to the gathering, extended his best wishes to the school for hosting this largest event in the history of IPSC. He also acknowledged the soaring popularity of IPSC in SGFI. While concluding his speech, he complimented Headmaster. Dr Jagpreet Singh for being an extraordinary Director of Sports in IPSC. 
      Dr Jagpreet Singh thanked the Chief Guest and presented a token of deeply felt gratitude. He wished all the best to participating teams.
        Day second began with the much awaited session with Ms Sharmila Tagore. Kashmir Ki Kali kept the audience glued with her nostalgic journey of 60 years in Hindi Cinema. She touched on the relevant issues of parenting, rising anxiety levels in children. Followed by that was session by Ms Sagarika Ghose. Gen Ata Hasnain kept the audience engrossed with Panel discussion on Kashmir:Past Imperfect and Future Tense. 
        Post lunch the attention shifted to 20 years of Kargil War. Col Sonam Wangchuck, Col SC Tyagi recalled the tough times in Kargil War honouring the brave heroes. DescriptionCaptain Vikram Batra, PVC was honoured for sacrificing his life for the nation. His proud parents bravely recalled their son. The evening concluded with Navtej Sarna’s session on Punjab at the time of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.
          Day 1 witnessed the Opening Ceremony of KSLF-2019 at Kasauli. Students won consolation prizes in Joy of Writing Competition and participated in Poster Making Competition. B N Goswamy, an eminent art historian dwelt on the saints and sinners. Second session witnessed Tavleen Singh, and many more fondly recalling the greatness of ‘Khushwant Singh’. Post lunch the focus shifted to 550th Birth Anniversary Celebrations where the famous writer Mr Amardeep Singh, the man behind Lost Sikh Heritage captivated the audience with the awestruck realities of his journey in conflict zones. Vishnu Som, prominent face in journalism moderated the session on Women and Flying Machines.
            Over 200 students took part in Open Art Competition in various categories depicting the life of Gandhi ji to celebrate his 150th Birth Anniversary..! Children showed a lot of enthusiasm to participate and put their thoughts on the canvas ..
              A special assembly was organised to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti in the Pavate Hall this morning. The assembly began with the presentation featuring rare ideologies of Gandhi. Speeches highlighting the life of Gandhi , what would be India like if Gandhi was alive today left the children with a thinking hats. School Choir dang hymns rendering the musical feel. Students recited poem. Headmaster, Dr Jagpreet Singh addressed the gathering and underlined the realities of Gandhi’s life. He called upon the students to take a pledge and adopt Gandhian principles in our lives. 
                60th Inter House Athletic Events came to close  in the Main Fields this evening. Enthusiastic athletes showcased their best talent in the events. The final ceremony started with March Past. Mr Manavjot Chahal , Captain Athletics led the contingent. Crowds enthusiastically cheered for the athletes. Chief Guest, Mr J K Saini, Principal , Cambridge Global School, Rakhra congratulated the Nabhaites for being proud leaders. He also highlighted the achievements of PPS and cited that the school is at its best at the moment. 
                Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster presented a token of deeply felt love and gratitude to the Chief Guest.

                  It was a proud moment for the School when the School Head Girl ,Aakshi Batra, Deputy Head Girl, Dilnoor Ghai, Deputy Head Boy, Armaan Singh alongwith the Headmaster , Dr Jagpreet Singh received The Award for , standing Top Ten in the country. 
                  PPS Nabha was also awarded consecutively Fifth time The Number 1 Ranking School in Punjab in Co - Ed Boarding Schools
                  PPS also featured in Top Ten in three more categories

                  B)Best in Sports Education 
                  C) Best in Cultural Activities
