Lt Gen HS Panag, PVSM, AVSM (Retd), former GOC-in-C Northern and Central Command and Member, Armed Forces Tribunal was the keynote speaker. He gave his talk on leadership. Elaborating the role of a leader, he said a leader is always under constant scrutiny. People look to find chinks in his armour. The leader and the led are complementary to each other. Quoting Rudyard Kipling, he said: ‘The strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.’ No matter what you do, you require the background of education, he said.
