Independence Day and Janmashtami Celebrations

The Punjab Public School celebrated 71st Independence Day in the famed Pavate Hall. Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster presided over the function as chief guest. He inspected the guard of honour and unfurled the tricolour.
Students delivered speeches in English and Hindi reminding us of the sacrifices laid by our great freedom fighters. Junior school students presented the patriotic song ‘Vande Matram’ which invoked strong and overwhelming emotion of pride of being an Indian.
On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, students enlightened everyone of Lord Krishna’s teachings. It was followed by the devotional song ‘Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari’ sung by School Choir.
Headmaster addressed the gathering and urged the youngsters to unite in fight against evils such as corruption, nepotism prevalent in the society. He also quoted this year as the change maker since the day is culmination of two great events- Independence and Birth of Lord Krishna.
